During times of extreme sickeness in the student and staff population, GCCS may need to close the school for a number of days.  The following are some guidelines in the event that this occurs:

• An announcement will be made by the usual school closing media outlets on a day-to-day basis.

• An annoucement will be made via the school website

• We will need as many staff as possible to come in on a voluntary basis to help disinfect the campus. The date will be announced via email.

• No extra-curricular practices or events will take place.

• The re-opening of school will be announced to staff via email.

• The re-opening of school will be announced on the website but not announced via media outlets.  The absence of a "School Closing Notice" on the website will indicate that school is open.

NOTICE:  Students should not be re-admitted to class until they have been fever-free (without fever-reducing medication) for 24 hours. Do not send your child to school with an elevated temperature.
