School Closing

Although southern New Jersey is not known for its snow, it's still possible to have a snow day every now and again. We have several ways to contact our school families about our school closing status.  Take your pick.  The choices are as follows:

  • (1) Our school closing number is 2810 and is announced on KYW Radio 1060 AM.
  • (2) Our school name is announced on Fox TV 29.
  • (3) It will be announced on the school's website www.hardingville.com/gccs. Our website has been revised concerning a snow closing or late opening. The announcement will appear in a red banner if we will be closed or opening late. No banner or snow announcement will be present on non-snowy days. The announcement appears only if there is a change in status.

Help Us Keep In Touch

We want to keep our information up to date on our mailing list and we need your help.  If you have recently moved, changed names, your address has changed, or phone number has changed, please take a minute to phone us and let us know of the changes.  Thank you.

Faculty Attends Convention

On Thursday and Friday, November 1-2 the GCCS faculty attended the American Association of Christian Schools Mid Atlantic Christian School's Convention in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.  The theme of the convention was, "Servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart." (Ephesians 6:6)  Our main speaker was Dr. Bob Wood executive vice president emeritus of Bob Jones University.  We had a great time fellowship together, were spiritually blessed, and learned much to enhance our teaching ministry.

GCCS Now Has A Defibrillator On Campus

We received a defibrillator from Gloucester County Special Services through a grant from the state.  We thank Mr.s. Dawn Field for her help in putting this together.

Soccer News

Congratulations to our ladies' soccer team.  The Lady Conqueror's won the Tri-State championship.  They were coached by Mr. Dennis Rasmussen.  The men's team finished third in the league tournament.  Mr. Dave Netz was at the helm of the men's squad.

Perfect Score

We congratulate Da Ye Kang for her good results in her recent Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT).  Da Ye scored a perfect 800 in the Math section of the test.  Da Ye is a second year exchange student here at GCCS and is staying with the DeMaria family.

Student Leadership Conference

Mr. Ham reports that this year's conference was the BEST one he has been to. Evangelist Byran Samms and Brother Eric Gustavson from Southland Christian Camp in Louisiana not only preached effectively, but exemplified the image of Christ at all times.   The group from Northland Baptist Bible College was a tremendous blessing with servant's hearts.  There were over 90 students in attendance from many schools in the state of New Jersey.  The theme for the conference was,

Christian Leaders SERVE and Seek To Be Different ON

PURPOSE For The Lord.  Many made life changing decisions.  Praise the Lord!

December Giving

Please consider an end-of-the-year gift to the building fund of Gloucester County Christian School.  We are thankful for the generous support of many this year.  We realize that your motivation is not tax oriented, but it is a nice bonus from Uncle Sam.  Consider it an investment in the lives of our young people.
